Jordin Sparks To Guest Star On FOX's Bones
Another American Idol Winner will be stepping onto the scripted small screen. It was reported that Carrie Underwood would guest star on CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother. Stomping in Underwood's footsteps, Jordin Sparks will guest star on FOX's Bones. With the temporary addition of Sparks, series creator Hart Hanson may have to rename the show Big Bones.
Sparks, who followed her American Idol victory with a decent self-titled debut album and unfavorable sophomore album, "Battlefield," had recently posted on Twitter about her fondness for the FOX procedural series starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. Subsequently, Bones series creator Hart Hanson happily announced that Sparks would soon be "sharing space with the Jeffersonian team."
"Well, I think it's OK to say that she's going to be [on] it," Hanson said, dismissing rumors that Sparks would be featured in to the music-themed episode. "No...I can't tell you where or when [yet] but she's going to be on the show."
Sparks won't be the first singer to guest star on Bones' fifth season. The premiere featured singer Cyndi Lauper as psychic Avalon Harmonia, who is rumored to return to the show later this year.
Note to the costume staff: Don't let photoshop confuse you! Please make Sparks wear sleeves.
