With the birth of Ellen's McBaby we were preparing for a Meredith Grey-less Grey's Anatomy. However, Ellen is scheduled for an early return. This is good news for Executive Producer Shonda Rimes. Katherine Heigl will be missing from 5 episodes to film her new movie "Life As We Know It." The death of George O'Malley and 2 other main characters MIA could have been a ratings nightmare for the Thursday night juggernaut. Since I have this love/hate relationship with Pompeo's character, I was hoping to get a glimpse of the show minus Meredith.
