Carrie Underwood Gets Another Acting Job
Despite Carrie Underwood's lack of acting talent, the American Idol winner has landed her first movie gig with a supporting role in Soul Surfer, according to Us Weekly. Filming began in Hawaii last week. The film will chronicle the story of teenage surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack, according to Us, which added Underwood will play church youth leader Sarah Hill. In addition, Soul Surfer will star Helen Hunt as Hamilton's mother, Dennis Quaid as her father, and AnnaSophia made her small screen debut with in the title role.
In December, she made her small screen solo debut in Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special -- a two-hour Fox variety show that featured performances by Underwood as well as scripted skits starring her and several guest stars. Considering her unfunny and robotic performance made "From Justin To Kelly" look like a masterpiece, you'd think her acting days were over. Oh! No!
Underwood is already scheduled to appear in an upcoming episode of CBS' How I Met Your Mother sitcom, in which she'll play the role of Tiffany -- a pharmaceutical sales representative who is the love interest of Ted, played by actor Josh Radnor.
Hopefully, Farmbot's handlers have given her a Jennifer Hudson upgrade.
